About us

A Blackpool roofer since 1976

We've been repairing and replacing roofs on the Fylde Coast since 1976, from our base on Montreal Avenue in Blackpool.

01 Our story

The whole roof, for almost fifty years

A Nicholson Roofing was established in 1976 and is still based in Blackpool, at 11 Montreal Avenue.

The work has always been the whole roof: slate and tile, flat roofs, leadwork, chimneys, and the guttering, fascias and soffits along the roofline. For homeowners, landlords and businesses.

Much of it is on older houses, the Victorian terraces, bay-fronted semis and Tudor-style gables of the Fylde, where the original slate, tile and lead are worth keeping. Where a modern material is the better answer, such as GRP fibreglass on a flat roof, we'll say so.

“Tony and the team worked efficiently and paid close attention to every detail.”

Tudor-style gables

Black-and-white gables and dormers are all over the Fylde. Their slate, lead and timber details are worth keeping, and we repair them rather than replace them wherever we can.

Bay-fronted semis

Front slopes in slate or tile, bay roofs in lead, felt or GRP, and chimneys on every party wall. Most of these streets have had a roof from us at some point.
